The NAACP has been corrupted by telecoms

In this clip from Aggressive Progressives (part of the TYT Network), Malcolm Fleschner and Jimmy Dore discuss the story from The Intercept that the NAACP has signed letters to the FCC advocating against Net Neutrality. Net Neutrality insures that all internet users have the same access and bandwidth. The telecoms don't like that. They would prefer to be able to give priority to those who can pay for it, causing those who can't pay to have slower internet connections. The have-nots would then not be able to compete with the bigger entities. Sound familiar?
.
Why would the NAACP advocate against Net Neutrality? Aren't they supposed to be for the "little guy"? Well, the NAACP was one of the recipients of $1.8 billion in funds given to various community groups by AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast. Was it a quid pro quo or did the money just make the NAACP think more kindly toward the corporations? We will probably never know, but we do know the outcome of that transaction.
.
I'm guessing that rank and file NAACP members don't know what their leadership is up to.
